We are pleased to confirm that City Build will commence work on the Balcony Redevelopment and Clubhouse Improvement Programme on Monday, 16th January, 2017.

 

The work, which is programmed to take eight weeks and be completed by the 13th March, will include refurbishing the existing dining room roof structure and replace the current balcony railings with glass panels, raising and replacing all paving, replacing all course facing windows in the main clubroom with floor to ceiling windows and Bi-fold doors along the full length of the balcony, the installation of sun blinds, the installation of a new air temperature regulation system, etc.

The existing raised floor in the main clubroom will be removed and a new level surface, adjacent to the balcony, will be finished in high quality carpet suitable for the wearing of soft spikes. The ceiling will also be replaced.

The project should be completed before the main golfing season commences but whilst the work is carried out the raised internal balcony area will be ‘boarded off’ so that the clubhouse can operate with as little disruption as possible.

The rear of the clubhouse will be fenced off and a site storage compound for the builder will be set up adjacent to the entrance to the gentleman’s changing room entrance. This means that some of the parking spaces near this area will be fenced off and out of use for the eight-week period of construction. Access to the changing room will be maintained at all times and a temporary access route to the first tee will be sited next to the flag pole.

The external staircase up to the balcony will be fenced off as a working area but again access will be maintained to the ladies changing room.
